Victory Drive.

This meeting is out annual election of new members/re-election of members whose terms expire this year.

If you are a member, click on the members link above and find your name. The date after your name tells when your term expires. If you are a “2008,” your term on the committee expires on September 1, 2008. If you wish to remain a member, you will need to be re-elected at this August meeting.

Members can also be elected at regular meetings, but that is a more complicated process, requiring that you be nominated at one meeting and elected at the next one.

Vernon Jones v. Jim Martin for U.S. Senate

Jerry Rothschild v. Larry Chisolm for District Attorney.

You can vote in this runoff whether or not you voted in the original primary election.

You know runoffs often decide elections, so get out there and vote. Early voting is this week. If you are going to be in the vicinity of one of the early voting places, do it now.

Advance voting allows any registered voter to cast a ballot IN PERSON at their county board of registrars’ office during normal business hours on the Monday through Friday of the week prior to an election. Please note that you cannot vote next Monday (August 4) because poll workers will be setting up for the next day.
