HR 1246 Devastates State Budget

Residents fight to save access to Jekyll Beach

The Savannah Morning News reports that the battle over Jekyll Island’s redevelopment returns to the legislature. Residents and lawmakers who support legislation sponsored by Sen. Jeff Chapman, R-Brunswick are trying to preserve the island’s historic role as a holiday retreat for ordinary Georgians.
