Hear hear. Not just for our children’s safety, but for the safety of the bicycling and pedestrian public, we need to support measures which improve the safety of all.

The tree canopy question is an outdated concept for road engineering where we move obstacles away from the roadway to improve ’safety,’ while in actuality only increasing speeds. See the Project for Public Spaces for some excellent safety improvements, including moving trees closer to the road.

This is my second time voting, the first being the presidential primaries. I am still not versed in county and city laws, so could someone please explain the Enforcement of Tree Ordinances to me, please? I would like to make an informed decision when I vote.
