Save Savannah’s Trees: Attend MPC Meeting Tomorrow

March 31st, 2008 by karen

What
MPC hearing on rezoning of 7 lots (owned by Barry Brown) on Johnny Mercer Blvd., (north of the 2 live oaks we were trying to protect at Johnny Mercer and Penn Waller) to build an office/residential center. As many people as possible should show up to try and ensure they save the live oak trees. This item is in about the middle of the agenda. Here’s the agenda.

When
Tuesday, April 1, 1.30 pm. The formal meeting begins at 1.30 pm, but there is a pre-meeting discussion where we can go and watch them eat and perhaps pick up discussion on the pertinent issues.

Where
MPC office. 110 E. State Street (ground floor of the Drayton St. parking garage, where parking services used to live.)

It would be great to have as many people as possible at this meeting to show them we are serious about saving our trees. Unfortunately, I am going to be out of town, but I know I can count on you to show them what’s what!
